Including seven stops throughout Aotearoa, the shows come on the back of their debut sold out New Zealand tour earlier this year.

The Grogans Tour Art 2023

Press Release:

Genre-expanding outfit The Grogans are a trio of best mates from Melbourne who explore nuanced maneuvers in surf, punk, blues, garage, psych and rockabilly. The band’s latest album ‘Which Way Is Out’ is their third album and digs deeper into the band’s genre fluidity.

“Which Way Is Out was based around a similar work flow we have taken on previous releases. The idea of going away to write/record has been the best way for us to be completely involved in the project. I think it allows us to step back from the other responsibilities in our life for just a minute and set our minds on one thing at a time. The new album contains the classic Grogans formula of heavier songs, cruiser songs and acoustic tracks. This helps us make our records have a sense of movement but also continuity between LPs. Which Way Is Out is a collection of tracks we think fit on a record together, some tracks are old and some far more recent but we managed to pull together a body of work which I think is somewhat nostalgic but also forward looking.” – The Grogans

The Grogans have supported the likes of Ocean Alley, The Chats, Hockey Dad, Northeast Party House, and Drunk Mums as well as festivals & showcases during 2022 including a Rolling Stone x Sailor Jerry Showcase, NYE on the Hill (VIC), Great Escape Festival (TAS).

This will only be The Grogans second visit to Aotearoa but buckle in, the shows promise to be a rockin wild time. Their last tour sold out so don’t delay snapping up tickets before it’s too late!

Alongside the tour announcement the trio are releasing a colourful claymation visual for feature track ‘LE FANGZ’, an exuberant and playful expression of the energy more familiar at The Grogans live shows.

Have you ever imagined a daisy inspired vampire creature? Meet the protagonist of feature track ‘LE FANGZ’ and visual claymation component created by Willem Kingma.

“Le Fangz tries to mellow you out and tell a story of an imaginary creature ‘le fang’ through a more lo/fi gritty ballad. This song actually accrued from this awful painting Quin did of these daisy looking vampire critters during lockdown. We were having a few beers on the grass just painting on big bits of plywood. After Quin had finished he wrote ‘le fangs’ on it as the title which ended up in our studio until it one day became the main character in a song.” – The Grogans
