Press Release:

With a live reputation that’s second to none, Sublime with Rome will return triumphant to New Zealand, having played their first-ever show here in 2017.

“The hard-core fans sang along to each and every song… hits like ‘Wrong Way’ and ‘Garden Grove’ prompted huge mass choruses of voices threatening to swallow the bands sound whole… The atmosphere in the venue was one of pure joy”
– Ambient Light

A musical collaboration between Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh from the band Sublime and singer-guitarist Rome Ramirez, Sublime with Rome officially formed in 2010. Gaugh left in 2011 and was replaced by Josh Freese.

Meanwhile, (Hed) PE are expected to be crowd pleasers with their unique mix of gangsta rap, punk and reggae, known as G-punk.

“Hed P.E are old school superstars and this oozes out of each member, they have a quality and a class that is rarely seen in today’s breed of musicians”

American rock-rappers Limp Bizkit last played in New Zealand 16 years ago. Fronted by Fred Durst, the rockers stormed to prominence in 1997 with their debut record, THREE DOLLAR BILL Y’ALL$. They followed it up with critically-acclaimed albums like SIGNIFICANT OTHER and CHOCOLATE STARFISH AND THE HOT DOG FLAVORED WATER.

Another festival must-see is punk-rock outfit Suicidal Tendencies. With their signature thrash metal drums and riffs, funky slap bass and the unmistakable vocals of Mike ‘Cyco Miko’ Muir, the band has released an impressive 12 records since emerging on California’s hardcore punk scene in the 1980s, including HOW WILL I LAUGH TOMORROW WHEN I CAN’T EVEN SMILE TODAY.

It’s an explosive bill, headlined by some of the biggest rock legends in the world, and so demand for tickets is high.
