Anika Moa announces two tours in one

Anika Moa In Swings The Tide FeatureThe fans have asked (repeatedly) for it, and Anika Moa has listened. The beautiful, witty and talented singer/songwriter today announces four concerts for her grown up fans, and South Island dates for her Songs For Bubbas: Chop Chop Hiyaaa! show.

The In Swings The Tide 10th Anniversary Tour concerts will feature Anika and her band performing the album In Swings The Tide in full, along with brand new music and her biggest hits, with dates scheduled for Dunedin, Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington. Anika’s producer and collaborator Jol Mulholland’s band Mulholland will be support act for all dates.

“I loved the idea of Shihad doing The General Electric in full so I am copying them basically.” Moa said. “I can’t wait to pour my heart out all over again and singing these songs that are 10 years old. Yay, I’m old! Speaking of old, I will be playing some of my new songs too – but who cares about that, let’s play In Swings The Tide!”

After a massive North Island tour in July and hundreds of requests from South Island parents, the Songs For Bubbas: Chop Chop Hiyaaa! show will visit Dunedin, Wanaka, Timaru and Christchurch this October School Holidays.

“I have genuinely loved taking this kids show on tour and I got so many death threats from mamas and papas from the deep South that I am touring down there for my personal safety (kidding). I’m just sorry it’s not more cities!”
